About Ella

I am a full-time tutor who has always been interested in the development of children, both academically and psychologically, consistently working with children throughout my life.

​

At the University of Sussex, I took Child Development and Child Psychology modules on my Human Sciences degree course, gaining a deeper understanding of the way children learn and grow.

​

I later completed both Level 2 and 3 Child Counselling courses with the highly regarded children's charity Place2Be, learning play therapy techniques and really getting to grips with the stressors a child faces in everyday life.

​

I was lucky enough to volunteer with IntoUniversity, a learning programme giving extra support to those that need it most.

My role as a mentor involved providing one-to-one and group support to children of all ages, and helping to run classroom-style lessons. I also tutored with Explore Learning, supporting groups of six children through wide ranging Maths and English activities.

 

I have extensive experience working with Special Educational Needs including Dyslexia, ADHD, ADD, Autism, Dysgraphia, Discalculia and Dyspraxia.

​

I support Maths, English and Science From Y1 - Y9.

I support preparation for SATs, 9+, 11+ and more.

I am DBS certified.
